Over 325 Teachers from seven Don
Bosco Schhols, viz. Don Bosco Matunga, St. Joseph Wadala, Don Bosco Borivli,
Dominic Savio Andheri, Don Bosco Naigaum, Don Bosco Nerul and Don Bosco
Yerawada congregated at Dominic Savio, Andheri, on 11th June 2015 to
attend a workshop conducted by resource personnel of the Riverside School,
Ahmedabad entitled ‘Design For Change.’
The programme focused on the need
for student collaboration in order to bring about necessary changes in the
functioning of the school. As part of the ‘I can’ strategy, teachers bring back
to their respective schools the four-pronged plan to effect changes to be
suggested by the students themselves. The steps involved in this include
Feeling, Imagining, Doing and Sharing about the intended design plan.
During the second session of the
day, Rev. Fr. Godfrey D’Sa guided the teachers through a workshop on Synergy in
order to optimize the potential of the group. Fr.Godfrey reiterated that
collaboration is better than competition as inter-dependence helps create the
required Synergy.
The teachers now bring to their
respective schools the guidelines given in order to implement the ‘Design For
Change’ programme with the collaboration and suggestions of the student body.
