Assembly IX E

Don Bosco High School.
Matunga, Mumbai
26 August 2015
The IX E class presented a meaningful and well executed  assembly highlighting children's ability to act as agents of change. The  assembly focussed on the life of Craig Kielburger, a child rights activist  who was just in the Seventh grade when he was inspired to become an advocate to fight for the rights of children. Craig in turn was inspired by Iqbal Masih a Pakistani child who was a child rights activist at the age of  twelve. He was shot dead because of his influence over the 3000 Pakistani  children who escaped from their torturers with Iqbal’s help. This assembly  strongly brought out a thought that even as children, they can bring about  a positive change by doing ordinary things extraordinarily.
