Don Bosco High School, Matunga was commended by the
government on Wednesday, October 28 at a function at St. Xavier’s College for
raising the highest amount towards the Flag Day fund, a collection in aid of
the Armed Forces. We raised a handsome amount of Rs.5.1 lakh, the highest among
the city schools towards the funds in 2014.
Mr. B. B. Chavan, deputy director of education, Mumbai region, thanked
the South Mumbai schools for their collections amounting to a total of Rs. 1.3
crore. Mrs. Christina Mascarenhas, Supervisor of Classes VII and VIII,
collected the award on behalf of our school.
