Mumbai, July 10: The first field
trip of the academic year saw the boys of class VIII visiting the Nehru Science
Centre yesterday. The students viewed a film, ‘Ready to fly,’ in the dome
theatre. This was followed by a 3D show entitled ‘Conservation of Nature,’
after which they explored the different galleries in order to perform D.I.Y.
experiments that taught basic scientific concepts in a simple yet interesting
manner. Each student would now be required to submit a report on the day’s
learning as part of their Formative assignment work.
Varghese Chiramel, of Class VIII D
had this to say. “It was evident that everyone enjoyed the visit thoroughly. It
was not only educative, but also induced us to take steps against global
warming and to fly high!”
