The first meeting of the Executive Body of the school P.T.A. was
chaired by the Principal and President of the P.T.A., Rev. Fr. Bernard Fernandes
on July 11. Mr. Akhtar Kazi and Mr. Rajesh Patil were respectively elected Vice
President and Joint Secretary of the P.T.A. for the academic year 2015-2016.
From the teacher body, Mrs. Valenka Fernandes and Ms. Karuna Dadipogu consented
to be the Secretary and the Joint Secretary. Important and immediate issues
pertaining to the students were clarified by the Principal, the Asst. Head
Mistress Mrs. Beatrice Pinto and the Coordinator Mr. C. Rai.
Mrs. Beatrice explained that the exams were on schedule and that
the syllabi already gave the relevant details, except for class V, the syllabus
for which was in progress. Mr. Rai shared details about remedial education for
the learning disabled. Rev. Fr. Bernard encouraged not only student but also
parent participation in all school activities, so as to enable pooling of
maximum resources. Rev. Fr. Bernard also urged parents to visit the school
website and blog to be updated with current events. A few parents voiced their
reservations about the change in the time table and information regarding
competitive exams, which were then suitably addressed.
Rev. Fr. Principal revealed that 2016-2017 would be the
seventy-fifth anniversary of the school, with plans for celebrating the same
soon to be underway.
