Save the girl child

The girl
child of today will be the mother of a child tomorrow, and no more need be
said about the invaluable role a mother plays in her child’s life. The students
enacted the story of a poor young girl who wishes to be educated in order to
stand on her own feet.
The boys gave us
examples of intrepid women achievers such as Indira Gandhi, Kiran Bedi, Mary
Kom, Kalpana Chawla and Mother Teresa, as symbolic of what the girl child could
accomplish, given an opportunity.
